FAT LOSS

Do you feel like you're constantly on a diet but not getting any results?

Maybe you're already spending time in the gym sweating it out a couple of times a week but seeing little improvement for all the effort. You're doing everything right so why aren't you losing weight or more specifically body fat?

Well, to be blunt - you're not doing it right at all.

If you have ever tried some DIY at home you will know that no matter how good it turns out, it will never be as good as it would have been had you brought the professionals in.

Most people can change a plug but wouldn't have a clue how to completely rewire their home. Changing your body is much the same. You may know the basics. You know that watching what you eat and taking regular exercise should show results, but what exactly should you eat? How should your diet compliment your workout? How do you decide what workout is best suited to your goals?

You know that watching what you eat and taking regular exercise should show results, but what exactly should you eat? How should your diet compliment your workout? How do you decide what workout is best suited to your goals?

If you have never exercised before, any amount of exercise can feel like a lot and can fool you into thinking you are pushing yourself beyond your limits. You sweat, your breathing gets heavier, your feel your muscles ache a little and you think you've done it.

But think about it for a minute. Does your breathing get heavier when you walk up the stairs or walk a little faster to catch the bus? Do you have to stop for a second because your legs feel a little heavy? These sound very similar to the effects you might feel exercising in the gym but you wouldn't say that you had pushed yourself beyond your limits of endurance after climbing the stairs would you?

The fact is that most people are capable of pushing themselves a lot further than they know but to get there they need to set a goal and they need the encouragement and motiviation to get there.

This is where your trainer comes in. Having someone to help you set a realistic goal and to encourage and motivate you to reach it is important to keep on track.

Forget about all the reality TV shows with Sergeant Major trainers barking orders and humiliating their clients into submission. If someone only pushes themselves because they are terrified of being humiliated, they will never succeed on their own.

Long term weight/fat loss through exercise is only achieved when you realise what you are capable of. When you reach your first goal you should feel exhilarated and proud of what you have achieved and feel motivated to set the bar higher.

Training is always a challenge, even for the fittest athlete, but they keep at it because there is no better sense of achievement than setting a goal and reaching it.

If you have tried every diet out there, spent hours on a treadmill running the road to nowhere and still haven't achieved what you set out to do, then push the button for a no obligation consultation and see what we can do to help.
